This longer retreat invites you to take a week out of the busy-ness of your life to connect with your inner being through the profound practice of silence. Join us for 7 days and 7 nights of true self observation and deep rest, gently guided, yet with the freedom to intuitively explore the landscape, both within and without.
Get quiet, go within and listen to the sounds of nature in our eco-spiritual sanctuary, while moving through an optional daily schedule of meditation, yoga flow, breathwork, Chi Kung, guided silent nature walks, evening restorative yoga, soul-nourishing mindful meals and plenty of free time for rest, renewal and reflection.
Bodhi Khaya offers up a safe space for you to delve deep within, while being held by the wild, serene natural environment. Spend your days exploring in nature, or curl up next to the fire at one of our indoor spaces with a cup of tea and a good book. All is welcome. On Noble Silence
The practice of Noble Silence means to refrain from all outward communication through both speaking and body language. We ask that all those who attend commit to holding this powerful silent container. None of the sessions and activities are compulsory, yet we hold the silence with the strongest integrity. Unlike some other practices of Noble Silence, reading and writing is permitted.
On Meditation
This is not a meditation retreat as much as it is a silent retreat. We offer 3, mostly unguided, meditation sessions per day, all optional. We will not be teaching a specific style of mediation, giving you the space to continue with your current practice. Each session will be a combination of sitting and walking meditation, or sitting only, depending on the instructor. You are always welcome to sit the whole time. For those new to meditation and who would like to learn, meditation instruction, support and guidance is available.
